Choosing ‘Staterooms’ on a cruise ship usually revolves around three factors: cost, stateroom size, and location
There are four basic stateroom categories:
Inside (smallest cabins with no windows)
Oceanview (roomier than an inside and has a port or picture size window)
Balcony (has a private veranda or porch and can be quite large)
Suites (largest rooms with private veranda – usually consists of multiple rooms – bedroom, living room, and separate bathroom)
